About the author
History told through people, places and remembered moments.
Paul A Leverell was born in Essex in 1964 and writes books rooted in twentieth-century Britain. After a career in graphic design, he turned his attention to the stories, events and cultural memories that had long fascinated him.
His work moves between historical fiction and narrative social history. The Cooper Family Saga follows one East London family across six decades; the history collections examine Britain by subject and by decade; the football books return to the matches supporters never forget; and the true-crime volumes revisit cases that gripped the nation.
Across every collection, the aim is the same: careful research, clear storytelling and a past that feels close enough to see and understand.
